Dr Steve Askin
Dr. Steve Askin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He has over 30 years of experience in small animal surgery, medicine and critical care, with a special interest in surgery. He has worked in the York County area for the past 20 years, and is looking forward to meeting existing and new clients and their pets here at the Alfred-Waterboro Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Askin lives in Kennebunk with his 2 rescue dogs, Carl from Georgia and Penny from North Carolina. His interests outside of work include furniture building and gardening.

Please welcome Dr. Magda Rosol.
After much thought and consideration, Dr. Dennis Brewster announces his retirement. Dr. Brewster’s decision was nothing less than bittersweet. Although he will miss his friends and clients dearly, he is excited to begin the next chapter of his life. We wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement!
Dr. Rosol found this to be an exciting opportunity to be able to serve the local community. She has wanted to become a clinic owner and her dream has become reality. Dr. Rosol graduated from Iowa State University where she obtained her veterinary medical degree. She has worked locally providing quality care to patients large and small. Dr. Rosol enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her 2 dogs, Mumbles and Benson, and her cat, Burton.
Dr. Rosol intends to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Brewster in providing the utmost level of care and compassion for not only our four legged friends, but their owners as well. Dr. Rosol looks forward to meeting you and your pets in the near future.

Dana Rowe, LVT
Dana Rowe graduated from Mount Ida College in 1996 with a B.S. as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her focus in college was wildlife and zoo medicine; however, since then the majority of her animal experience has been with domestic animals in small animal practices. Dana started part time at AWVH in May of 2017 and recently started full time as a LVT /office manager.
She lives in Southern Maine with her husband, four dogs (Owen, Charlotte, Sarah, & Milton), two ball pythons (Stella & Marilyn), tortoise (Bernadette), and foster Capuchin monkey (Gizmo) from Helping Hands Monkey Helpers for the disabled. Hobbies include traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, and motorcycling.
Alex joined the AWVH team in February 2016 as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She has been working in the veterinary field for approximately 5 years, and has a passion to care for all types on animals. Alex currently lives in Buxton, Maine with her rabbit Blaze and horse Gizmo. She enjoys horseback riding and photography in her spare time. She has a Bachelors of Science in pre-veterinary medicine, and aspires to become a veterinarian in the near future. Alex will be applying for vet school and is very excited to start this new adventure.
Kaitlyn is currently in school studying to become a Veterinary Technician at YCCC. She has been employed at AWVH since December of 2016 while attending school and working full time. Kaitlyn grew up in Waterboro on a small farm; she grew up with horses, chickens and pigs. She has a German Shepherd puppy named Maverick. Kaitlyn loves anything having to do with the outdoors.
Tristen WebberTristen is a college student working towards a bachelors degree. She loves the outdoors. She grew up on a large farm in Andover ME. Tristen currently only has two cats but hopes to run her own farm someday. Tristen joined the AWVH family in 2016 and has enjoyed learning about small animal medicine and looks foward to learning more.
Teri has been in the veterinary field since 1988. She started from the ground up as a high school student with the Co-Op program at Kennebunk High School. Although Teri does not have a formal degree, she makes up for it with her hands on training and firsthand experience. She lives in Southern Maine with her husband, three children, four dogs, six cats, and a chinchilla.
Teri has been with AWVH since May 2017. We are fortunate to have her as part of our team. Teri is the jack of all trades; she can be found assisting the veterinarian, helping in surgery, helping clients, and grooming our patients.
Taylor graduated from the University of New Hampshire, in 2017 with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science. She has been employed at AWVH since 2014 while attending school and is now full time.
Taylor grew up in Hollis, Me. on a small farm with a variety of animals. She has two horses named Bailey and Buddy. She also has a dog named Finley. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
